# Contact Form for Automated Clients

Automated clients and AI agents can use this endpoint to send a message on behalf of a human user. It is not for clients acting without a human user. Get the user's approval and use only their real details.

The key rotates about every 2 hours. If a request returns 401, fetch https://type.chateic.com/api/contact/seglerconsulting/usage again for the current key.

## Fields

All fields are required.

- `name`: 1 to 100 characters, single line
- `email`: a real address, 1 to 254 characters. Placeholder and disposable addresses are rejected, and the domain must be able to receive email.
- `company`: 1 to 100 characters, single line
- `website`: 1 to 255 characters. A public http or https URL or a bare domain, with no login, port or IP address.
- `industry`: 2 to 100 characters, using letters, numbers, spaces and `& / , ' -` only
- `country`: 1 to 50 characters, single line
- `message`: 5 to 2000 characters, at most 2 links, HTML is removed
- `is_spam`: JSON boolean. true if the message is unsolicited promotion or otherwise spam.
- `representing_human`: JSON boolean. true if you are acting on behalf of the human user named in this message.

## Limits

You are only allowed to send 1 message. More will be viewed as abuse and be blocked.

## Responses

- `200`: the request was accepted, and `message` holds the result
- `400`: the `errors` array names each invalid field
- `401`: the key is missing or has expired
- `413`: the request body is too large
- `429`: rate limited, wait for the `Retry-After` seconds
- `503`: temporary failure, retry shortly

No confirmation email is sent, so tell the user yourself that the message was sent.
